In beautiful springand amidst the breeze and the refreshing spring flowers and grasses, XingyeMining Co., Ltd. held its 2014 annual work conference on April 23, 2014 in theconference room on the third floor of its headquarters.
The conference washeld by Li Xuetian, Deputy General Manager. Dong Yong, Executive Deputy GeneralManager, made an opening speech.
General Manager ofthe company Ji Xingjun made a work report entitled Face the Future, Build a Talent Development Mode and Speed up CorporateDevelopment on behalf of the management. The Report truthfully summarized the work in 2013, mainly completingthe production and operation targets, establishing before improving an internalcontrol system, pushing forward overall budget management, strengthening honestmanagement, expanding its business fields and optimizing the capital structure.
In the Report, the General Manager pointed out,“Settlement of the operation and management problems shall start from theleadership and take into consideration the reality. That will make it easier tosettle them. Only by doing so can a top-down operating mechanism featuring‘personal’ settlement of problems be established. ‘Up to me’ is the core of thecorporate culture of Xingye Mining. No matter how many or big the problems are,as long as we hold it as ‘up to me’, we would be able to settle them. Lastyear, while making the decision to promote our work with management, we haveproposed to must change the idea that all was anyone else’s fault, checkproblems in ourselves and realize the objective to promote corporatemanagement.”
In the Report, the General Manager made anoverall production and operation plan for the company in 2014 and clearlyproposed therein, “According to Board requirements, we have set the company’s basictone of production, operation and management in 2014, that is, to take theintroduction, cultivation and utilization of talents as the core, completion ofthe production and operation targets set by the Board as the task, safedevelopment as the goal and realization of business efficiency as the center topromote quality and efficiency and to upgrade in an all-round manner.” Thisyear, the main task is to ensure three major business objectives, highlight a coreand hold firmly a priority, that is, to ensure the achievement of full-yearprofitability targets, annual production safety and balanced third-class orereserve; highlight the establishment of a talent development mode; and striveto push forward the transformation of the mode of management and control.Priority tasks to be done this year are in below six aspects: paying greatattention to ensure safe development; highlighting the brand of Xingye andpromoting the work of marketing in an allround manner; intensifying capitaloperation, reorganizing and optimizing capital quality; striving to pushforward the construction of corporate culture and releasing positive energy forreform and development; giving play to the efficiency of auditing andmonitoring to ensure healthy development of the company; effectively improvingwork style, and willingly serving enterprises in their development.
The General Managerrequired, “We have to, under correct leadership of the company Board, alwaysinnovate in development measures, hold on to the objectives and priorities atwork and make continuous efforts with a high-spirited passion to forge ahead, awill of fortitude and resolution and the vigor to take responsibilities.”
Dong Yong, ExecutiveDeputy Manager, Zhao Fei, Guo Hongjun, Sun Kai, Yang Daping and Li Xuetian,Deputy General Managers, all made reports to summarize the work in their chargein 2013 and made overall plans for the work in 2014. Around the basic work toneset by the General Manager, the Deputy General Managers truthfully summarizedtheir respective work in the past year; seriously and carefully analyzed placesto be improved at work; put forward the tasks, indicators and specificrequirements to be realized in 2014 in an all-round and detailed way; furtherclarified work thoughts, the development priority and the paths fortransformation.
TheChairman of the Board and the General Manager, the General Manager and theaffiliates, Deputy General Manager Zhao Fei and company departments at alllevels signed a production and operation targets responsibility contract in2014.
Lu Yang, Deputy Directorof the company Enterprise Management Department, read Announcement of Awards for Agencies atDifferent Levels for Performance Assessment in 2013 and Announcement of the Selected Advanced Benchmarking Units in theCompany and Its Affiliates in 2013. Chu Yunqiang, Director of thecompany Human Resources Department, read Announcement of 2013 Winners of the Awardfor Advanced Collectives, the Award for Advanced Individuals and Special Awardfrom the General Manager. Dou Yankui, Director of the companyEnterprise Management Department and the advanced department in terms ofbenchmarking management, and Liu Xiaoming, General Manager of Inner MongoliaXingye Group Rongguan Mining and advanced unit in terms of benchmarkingmanagement, introduced their experience in benchmarking management in the pastyear on behalf of the department and the enterprise.
In Joyful Atmosphere, a cheerful and happypiece of music, major leaders of the company presented awards to the advancedcollectives, advanced individuals and units and individuals winning SpecialAward from the General Manager. Niu Yaohui, representative of advancedindividuals, Yu Zhongyuan, winner of Special Award from the General Manager,Liu Xiaoming, representative of advanced affiliate collectives and Li Jinliang,representative of advanced company departments delivered inspiring acceptancespeeches with excitement.
Lastly, the Chairman of the Board delivered a speech on Follow the Development of the Times and Scientifically Adjust Strategic Development Plan with passion. He said, “In the days after Xingye Mining went listed, Xingye people, in the face of a number of domestic and foreign adverse factors brought about by economic downturn and rising costs, kept the promise to all shareholders and completed the tasks of operation and production assigned by its Board.”
The Chairman of the Board made a profound summary and analysis of the company’s future development. “For over twenty or more years, we have experienced three economic cycles. According to scientific statistics, only enterprises that are able to survive three economic cycles, lasting for 15-20 years, would last. If they stand the test of a big cycle, they would develop even lastingly and be involved in the list of powerful enterprises.” To comment on the past and practice for the future, one would always meet with changes and difficulties. The sober always see things in bud and the wise avoid dangers yet to take shape. As the Chairman of the Board said, “Low-end and super large enterprises that do not have any long-term development plan and develop rapidly through small cycles come to an end for failing to realize complete transformation and upgrading against the background of big economic cycles. They become a miniature of the society.”
The Chairman of the Board had a clear conceptual design on how to adjust the first 10-year strategic plan, “Currently, we need to adjust our strategic plan in two aspects, product structure and industrial structure. In terms of product structure, we have to adjust the varieties and tastes of resources for reserve and for development so as to promote our competitiveness and the quality efficiency of economic growth; in terms of industrial structure, we have to concentrate on projects having significant effects so as to adjust industrial layout and transform the ways of economic growth.”
The Chairman of the Board made an in-depth explanation of the importance of developing a corporate culture. He
said, “Our development concept is ‘cooperation, opening up and win-win development’. Where there are business
opportunities, there is cooperation, and there are Xingye people. Either going global or self-development or
reorganization between enterprises, we have to be well aware that cultural reorganization is the most important of all.” “It will be an important component of the company’s development in the future to deepen the role and promote the connotation of corporate culture.”
At the end of his speech, the Chairman of the Board stressed, “Xingye will meet with countless unknowns in future development. As long as Xingye people keep constant reflections on, summaries and learning of life, work and career, it will have infinite wisdom and power to settle the problems along the road of development. As long as it sticks to correct strategies, its goal will surely be realized.”
